One of the things we liked most about Hoi An were the beaches. Uncrowded beaches with warm air, warm water, and free beach chairs were just what we need to properly relax. Matt spent most of his time frolicking in the waves, playing with our underwater camera, while I could be found sunning myself on the beach with my Kindle. The beach was about a kilometer away from our hotel, so everyday we’d either pop onto the hotel’s free shuttle bus, or rent a motorbike and take the scenic route. A little restaurant near the beach provided us snacks and drinks when we needed a break from the sun, and two sweet dogs galavanting around the beach provided us with lots of entertainment! (Before anyone freaks out and tells me not to touch the mangy animals…I’m pretty sure these dogs lived at one of the restaurants! They were clean and friendly.)
Hoi An’s beach reminded me a little of the one of my favorite beaches on the Oregon Coast, only warmer. The water wasn’t particularly blue, the waves were rough, and skies were cloudy–but it was beautiful in it’s own way.
Where in the world is your favorite beach?

Those beaches look fabulous. I love the pics of the waves. A nice change from our gray days here.
Yah, too bad we only took you to gray beaches in Korea too! Next time, you should go to SE Asia
So jealous! I love beaches like that. Beautiful pictures!
Thank you! It was a very relaxing place
Fantastic photos of gorgeous skies and wonderful sea! Wow! Matt’s handstands are impressive! Hugs, Gram Anne
Thanks! Yes, Matt has some gymnastics skills he likes to show off at the beach–I would probably fall and break my arm if I tried that!
Fabulous pics of beautiful sky and waves! Also, great handstands! Hugs, Gam anne
