After just two short days in Kuala Lumpur, we decided to take a bus cross country to the gorgeous island of Penang. The bus ride was pretty eventful–before we even left the station in Kuala Lumpur, there was a screaming match between a woman on the bus and a guy selling tickets. The whole ride we were on edge because of that exchange, but luckily, things went much smoother for us once we arrived in Penang. We decided to try something different and stayed at an awesome home-stay with a super nice family (you can check out Annie’s Homestay here), and happily, their home was a short walk from some of the most beautiful beaches I’ve ever seen.
