Remember how I talked about how some places are just more beautiful at night? Well I don’t know if Hoi An is more beautiful, but by night, it’s certainly presents a whole other level of beauty. The river running through the center of town is lit up with gorgeous multi-colored lanterns, and the vibrant buildings seem to glow. The air is warm and the atmosphere is jubilant–every night spent on the river banks in Hoi An feels like a celebration. The many delicious restaurants open their doors and windows, and lights, sounds and smells spill into the streets. Hoi An at night feels like Europe–warm, inviting, comfortable. There is no seedy underbelly in Hoi An, she has no dark side or wrong side of the tracks. Here are some of my favorite shots of Hoi An by night.

Thank you! Yes, those lanterns were so pretty. They add a lot of color and character to the streets at night!
Hoi An is a beautiful and romantic place. Perfect for couples who want to have a romantic date. Even though I’m loveless, I would still love to have a walk in the place. The river and the lanterns look are astonishing!

It is really beautiful, and it’s not just couples wandering around
We saw a lot of families and singles in Hoi An too. I was more concerned with taking good pictures than being romantic
