My Favorite Place in the World: Cannon Beach, Oregon

I’ve mentioned before how much I love oceans and how much I miss visiting the coast, so it should come as no great surprise that my favorite city in the world (so far) is a small, coastal town: Cannon Beach, Oregon.

In addition to the fact that this little town (and its neighboring towns) are quiet, peaceful, and full of artists and delicious food, Cannon Beach also holds a lot of sentimental value for me. I’ve taken a few family vacations there, it’s the first place Matt and I ever went on vacation together, I’ve gone there with my friends, and most importantly, it’s where Matt and I got engaged!

This cute little coastal town boasts impressive rocks jutting out from the waves, large, uncrowded sandy beaches, moderate weather year-round (always a bit cool, but almost never cold), and a plethora of cute hotels, bed and breakfasts and vacation rental homes to choose from. Just thinking about it makes my heart ache a little!

Here’s a collection of some of my favorite photos from Cannon Beach, Oregon that I’ve collected over the years.

Awesome pictures!!!! My favorite place is the ocean. Doesn’t have to ne a particular city, just the ocean. We’ve found many fun spots!

I’ve loved the ocean since I was a kid……..many memories! Gramp and I stayed in my cousin’s beach cottage about 10 yr. ago at Cannon Beach for a few days. We both loved it! It’s mesmerizing to watch the waves roll in

    Lotsa Love, Gram Anne

Oh, yes! Your photos are wonderful. I’ve enjoyed painting several paintings of ocean scenes. May do it again, someday!

Oregon beaches are some of the most beautiful, and never overcrowded.

Yes, I loved Cannon Beach when I was still living in Oregon, but my all-time favorite is Neskowin, probably because we went there a lot when I was a kid.
